Founded in 1920 they have a presence in 79 countries, with 36 offices and over 14,000 members worldwide.
The RAD’s patron is her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Bream Bay Ballet
The curriculum is specifically designed to introduce fundamental ballet steps; the focus is on physical skills, perceptual skills, social learning and musicality. Emphasis is having fun with movement and music, teaching confidence, poise, grace and encouraging creativity. Age 3.5 years
The Graded Syllabus
Pre-Primary 4-5 years, Primary 5-6 years and Grades 1 to 8 provide a broad practical dance education, aimed at developing technical, musical and performance skills
Grade 1 to 5: New syllabus from 2012
Vocational Graded Examinations:
Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 provide an in-depth study of ballet and prepare students for a career in dance.
